Prayer times in Islamabad, Islamabad use the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi method (Fajr & Isha at 18°) with the Hanafi school for Asr — the standard followed by Auqaf and most mosques in Pakistan. Each fard namaz is valid only between its start and end time:
Tip: Fajr becomes qaza after sunrise (05:14). Most mosques start Jama’at 10–15 minutes after Adhan.
Fajr in Islamabad starts at 03:36 (Adhan / Azan time) and ends at sunrise 05:14 — a 98-minute window. Imsak (Sehri end) is 03:26. After sunrise, Fajr must be offered as qaza. The Karachi method uses an 18° Fajr angle for Islamabad.
Dhuhr begins at 12:14 when the sun passes its zenith, and lasts until Asr at 17:10. On Fridays, Dhuhr is replaced by Jumma in the same window. Offering Dhuhr after Asr begins makes it qaza.
Asr (Hanafi) in Islamabad today is 17:10, when an object’s shadow equals twice its length plus the noon shadow — the timing used by nearly all mosques in Islamabad. Asr ends at Maghrib (19:14).
