HMD Global, which is struggling with retail in the smartphone industry, continues to support the Symbian mobile form factor by introducing a new phone every now and then. As a follow-up to the ultra-affordable Nokia 2760 Flip, the Hungarian Tech Giant just launched the Nokia 2780, an iterative keypad clamshell. The newcomer features two screens. The inside TFT display measures 2.7 inches, while the cover measures 1.77 inches. In addition to displaying the caller ID, the Nokia 2780 Flip’s rear LCD can display the time and notifications. A conventional 5MP shooter with an LED flash is located above the secondary screen.

Nokia includes the 2780’s main board with a Qualcomm 215 CPU in the hardware manifest. It’s a quad-core CPU designed specifically for a lightweight user interface. It has a maximum clock speed of 1.3 GHz and an X5 LTE modem with a maximum bandwidth of 150 Mbps.
The Nokia 2780 comes with 4Gigs of RAM and 512MB of storage. A 1450mAh battery powers the T9 keyboard and the rest of the device. The Adreno 308 GPU controls visual performance on the phone’s 240 x 320 pixel screen.

On the software front, the Nokia 2780 Flip ships with KaiOS 3.1 and has features like hearing aid compatibility and real-time text messaging. Users can also browse the web and use Google Maps, YouTube, and other services.

Additional support includes Wi-Fi, MP3, FM radio, GPS, and more. Although the phone has a classic Symbian design, it uses a USB TYPE-C port for recharging. The sales will begin on November 15th in the US at an expected price of 80$, and the phone ships in Red and Blue colorways. The Nokia 2780 Flip phone is a contemporary take on the traditional flip, complete with 4G and a clean, easy-to-use interface.
